**Vacancy for Excellence Manager (EXM) in Birmingham** 

WHY THIS JOB EXISTS:

To deliver high Company standards of
patient transition care using responsible business practices within a healthcare environment. Support
the Area Care Operations Manager (ACOM)
with the management and development of the team to provide high quality patient transitions. To personally drive
excellence through effective observation
and delivery Company standards ensuring compliance with current legislation,
policies, processes and values.

REPORTS TO: Area Care Operations Manager (ACOM)

Annual salary: £29640
Avarage of 40 hours a week.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:·       

  • Prioritise and insist on high standards of all aspects of health & safety, monitoring standards within the team on a daily basis to ensure compliance with legislation.       
  • Be an ambassador for quality patient care, the Company values, competencies, policies and procedures on all occasions by demonstrating absolute professionalism, integrity, inclusivity and confidentiality for all patients, their families, SCUK staff and external customers.      
  • Monitor the standards of patient care for the team to nurture a learning culture and provide creative solutions to facilitate continual improvement.       
  • Influence, motivate and demonstrate genuine care for the team through positive professional communication, proficient team meetings, teamworking and coaching.      
  • Observe, identify and record potential development areas and training needs within the team’s performance, recommend and monitor improvement.      
  • Conducting basic disciplinary meetings and undertaking more complex investigations, making recommendations for disciplinary action to the ACOM.      
  • Providing accurate information and benchmarking to facilitate the management of all crews and their personal development.       
  • Oversee all Company standards e.g. the uniform is worn in accordance with the Company’s Uniform policy, and insist that all staff wear their ID badge at all times while on duty.       
  • Monitor the quality of accurate implementation of electronic systems for capturing required data, review and resolve issues in a timely manner in collaboration with other managers.       
  • Ensure effective time management of professional administration duties including audits, service regulatory obligations, adherence to policies and procedures at all times and the reporting of any “day to day” issues are balanced with the needs of the team.       
  • Take accountability for own continual professional development and reflective practice for learning including continuously updating own knowledge and skills within the job role, contribute to setting own work objectives, and maintain up to date understanding of company policies, procedures and employee handbook.       
  • Facilitate the recruitment, induction, development and retention of the team.       
  • Ensure the achievement of business KPI’s, goals and objectives by proactive monitoring and recommending timely interventions to ensure high standards of performance.     
  • Be the vehicle custodian and ensure all vehicle standards checks are carried out and maintained to the highest level achievable, including the preparation of orders for the logistics team, re-stocking, equipment, cleanliness and availability of vehicles and equipment are carried out by the team. 
  • Report all vehicle/station defects to the transport manager immediately in order to maintain the fleet, service delivery and compliance. Ensure reporting of all relevant incidents are reported and maximising vehicle availability.      
  • Support and maintain excellent stakeholder relationships.       
  • Respond positively to change by supporting and delivering Company new initiatives.      
  • Participate as a back up to the out of hours on call manager if required, working closely with the Leadership Team and managers.      
  • The ability to travel to multi sites.       
  • Act as a “go to person” for all information and logistics matters ensuring the whole team receive all relevant and up to date professional communication.       
  • Be personally responsible for the rotas to effectively optimise productivity and efficiency balancing the high standards of care for patients.     
  • Support the role of business development as required ensuring all opportunities are maximised through networking and relationship building with clients and partners.      
  • Ensure the integrity of the SCUK brand by maintaining high professional standards for the whole team at all times.      
  • Take personal accountability for the achievement of set business KPI’s, goals and objectives.     
  • Take the initiative to collaborate respectfully with Company departments to facilitate deployments, audits, checks and standard operating procedures for effective implementation and maintenance.      
  • Ensure all work activities for the teams are in line with legislation and are accurate and timely.     
  • Any other reasonable duties as assigned.

  • Previous healthcare and driving experience essential·          
  • Ability to adapt positively to change.
