Job description
Bistro Chat Noir is interviewing candidates for Line Cook positions. Candidates should have professional kitchen experience, including working a hot line and grill. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals. Experience in a full service restaurant is desired. Must have a flexible schedule.


Responsibilities
-Cooking and preparing all menu items in accordance standards set by the Chef ·
-Stocking and maintaining sufficient levels of food on the line
-Food preparation and portioning prior to service
-Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment
-Ability to lift 60 lbs and stand for long periods of time
-Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
-Clean up station and take care of leftover food
-Stock inventory appropriately
-Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
-Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
-Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Requirements
-French cuisine experience
-1+ yrs cooking experience
-Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
-Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
-Familiar with industry’s best practices
