Description
We are looking for an Executive Sous Chef to take the reins of Bistrotheque in Bethnal Green.

Two kitchens:

1. The main dining room kitchen serving dinner Monday to Sunday and weekend brunch
2. The private dining room kitchen serving a room which seats up to 94 covers

You will be responsible for the successful day to day kitchen operation, meeting food cost, wastage, H&S and labour targets whilst mentoring the team and maintaining our standards of both consistency and quality through every service.

We give you a kitchen manager to look after admin side of things. Your passion is to be in chef whites fronting the team. This is a quality with volume business so consistency is key.

Menu development is by our Chef Director, so this role is definitely service-based and is about driving success from the coalface,

— Time Allocation Per Week:
— 5 days on, 2 consecutive days off
— Average 50-55 hours per week

Remuneration:
— Starting at £50k
— Reviewed after 6 & 12 months

Bistrotheque opened 16 years ago. We are located between Bethnal Green and Hackney in a two-storey unmarked warehouse. We’ve built a loyal following of East Londoners who appreciate quality and consistency. We’re a small, friendly team, who believe mutual respect is at the heart of delivering big services… we’ve no time for petty politics.
