Bistrotheque opened 17 years ago and was inspired by the humble French Bistro. We are located between Bethnal Green and Hackney, in a two-storey unmarked warehouse. The job supports the waiter and kitchen team. You will liaise with the chef to collate food order checks, ensuring food leaves the pass at the correct time and that all orders are complete and to the correct spec. The chef delivers to the pass, you dispatch to the floor. You are the intermediary between the floor team and the chef.
E2, very close to Cambridge Heath Overground and a short walk to Bethnal Green Underground.
HOURS 30-35 hours per week Thursday to Saturday dinner, Saturday & Sunday brunch Stable rota 3 consecutive days off 6 weeks holiday, 4 of which are to be taken in August each year
Base pay £10 per hour. Earning potential £16 per hour when tronc criteria is met.
You must be organised and remain calm under pressure. There is a lot to orchestrate at the pass during a busy service; you must remain level headed and see the bigger picture. You will probably have been an experienced section waiter and this is a non-customer-facing promotion out of a section without the responsibility of a manager.
