Bistrotheque opened 17 years ago and was inspired by the humble French Bistro. We are located between Bethnal Green and Hackney, in a two-storey unmarked warehouse. Over time, we’ve built a loyal following of stylish East Londoners who appreciate quality and consistency. The team is small and friendly and we believe in mutual respect.
Bistrotheque is looking to recruit a section waiter to work the same shifts each week. We offer a structured environment for a restaurant professional to step into, deliver great service and earn good money. You'll be working under the manager but expected to manage and control your section solo.
30-35 hours per week
Thursday to Saturday dinner, Saturday & Sunday brunch
3 consecutive days off
6 weeks holiday, 4 of which are to be taken in August each year
E2, very close to Cambridge Heath Overground and a short walk to Bethnal Green Underground.
£8.91 per hour starting house pay plus generous tronc. We expect this role to earn at least £15 per hour overall once tronc criteria is met. Any cash tips on your section are yours to keep.
1 years experience in a quality/volume restaurant at junior waiter level or higher. You must have a passion for restaurants, be well organised and a natural communicator. Charming, precise, speedy and knowledagble are your trademarks and you're a team player able to work within a framework. You may have ambitions to progress in hospitality or this may be something your are doing for now, either is fine. It is possible to combine this role with something else in your life - study, another job, freelancing, etc - our only stipulation is that your something else has zero impact on your commitment to this job, which must be total.
