Description
THE ROLE 
We are looking for a sous chef to lead our events business at both Bistrotheque (Bethnal Green) and ICA (central London). Events may also occur at other locations in and around London.  You will oversee and control events prep and service.

  • Type of Work: Lead events; a mix of prep and service shifts including some restaurant service shifts
  • Hours: 48 hours per week
  • Days of Work: Rota determined by events
  • Days off: at least 2 consecutive days off per week
  • Holiday: 6 weeks holiday, 4 taken during August
  • Location: E2, very close to Cambridge Heath Overground and a short walk to Bethnal Green Underground.
  • Remuneration: £45,000 per year
ABOUT BISTROTHEQUE
Bistrotheque opened 17 years ago and was inspired by the humble French Bistro. We are located between Bethnal Green and Hackney, in a two-storey unmarked warehouse. Over time, we’ve built a loyal following of stylish East Londoners who appreciate quality and consistency. The team is small and friendly and we believe in mutual respect. 

ABOUT YOU
At least 2 years experience in a quality/volume kitchen with at least 1 year at sous chef level. Consistency, attention to detail and good organisation are your trademarks. We are drawn to those who are team players and able to work within a framework with sufficient flexibility to cope with the unexpected turns events can sometimes take.  

REQUIREMENTS
Must have Level 2 food safety, Level 3 is ideal.
