Description
THE ROLE 
We are looking for Casual Sous Chefs who are available to work ad hoc service shifts or events at Bistrotheque in Bethnal Green. You should enjoy working in a fast-paced kitchen and have experience delivering fast-paced but quality services and events to groups. 

This is work without a fixed schedule. We will contact you a month in advance (or sooner) for your availability for service shifts or event shifts giving you the opportunity to accept jobs on a first-come-first-served basis. This is a great role if you have something else in your life: study, another job, freelancing work.

  • Hours:  Varied hours per week. Events could occur at any time during the week. Services: Thursday through Sunday.
  • Location: E2, very close to Cambridge Heath Overground and a short walk to Bethnal Green Underground.
  • Remuneration: £18.00 per hour (depending on experience) paid monthly.

ABOUT BISTROTHEQUE
Bistrotheque opened in 2004 and was inspired by the French Bistro. We are located between Bethnal Green and Hackney, in a two-storey unmarked warehouse. Over time, we’ve built a loyal following of East Londoners who appreciate quality and consistency. The team is small and friendly and we believe in mutual respect. 

ABOUT YOU
At least 2 years experience in a quality/volume kitchen with at least 1 year at sous chef level. Consistency, attention to detail and good organisation are your trademarks. We are drawn to those who are team players and able to work within a framework with sufficient flexibility to cope with the unexpected turns events can sometimes take.  

REQUIREMENTS
Must have Level 2 food safety, Level 3 is ideal.
