THE ROLE
We are looking for a Sous Chef to join our Bistrotheque kitchen team working a mix of prep, service and events. You should enjoy working in a fast-paced kitchen serving upwards of 180 covers per service. Bistrotheque is open for dinner Thursday through Saturday and brunch Saturday and Sunday. Consecutive days off and a maximum of 48 hours per week.
- Hours: Maximum 48 hours per week
- Days off: 5 days on, 2 consecutive days off weekly
- Holiday: 6 weeks holiday, 4 taken during August
- Location: E2, very close to Cambridge Heath Overground and a short walk to Bethnal Green Underground.
- Remuneration: £18 p/h starting package
ABOUT BISTROTHEQUE
Bistrotheque opened in 2004 and was inspired by the French Bistro. We are located between Bethnal Green and Hackney, in a two-storey unmarked warehouse. Over time, we’ve built a loyal following of East Londoners and others who appreciate quality and consistency. The team is small and friendly and we believe in mutual respect.
ABOUT YOU
At least 2 years experience in a quality/volume kitchen with at least 1 year at sous chef level. Consistency, attention to detail and good organisation are your trademarks. We are drawn to those who are team players and able to work within a framework with sufficient flexibility to cope with the unexpected turns events can sometimes take.
REQUIREMENTS
Must have Level 2 food safety, Level 3 is ideal.
