Black Angus was founded by Stuart Anderson in 1964. A rancher who knew his way around a horse, a range and a campfire, he was looking to share the simple ranch cooking he loved. It’s from him we learned to cook our steaks over fire, serve generous portions, and to create Memorable Dining Experiences for our Guests in 5 western states! Are you ready to Make your Mark?

We are looking for BROILER COOKS who know how to provide a Memorable Experience for our Guests. Can you:

* Present a warm, friendly and enthusiastic service-oriented attitude
* Complete all line set up work on a timely basis
* Maintain steam table items, refrigerated items and dry storage items
* Ensure that the kitchen is prepared to operate properly and efficiently during dinner shift
* Broil all items as ordered and handle refires and remakes quickly to ensure Guest satisfaction
* Direct backup personnel on timing of preparation for food items needed on the line
* Clean your own station and direct co-workers in their side work and assist if needed
* Perform any other duties as requested by Chef/Sous Chef/Manager
* Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude NO MATTER WHAT
* Collaborate with other servers and kitchen/bar staff in a friendly, professional manner
* Ensure a safe environment for Guests and Employees
* Perform these duties with a friendly, professional manner
* Provide state & locally required certifications
* Be passionate about working in a fast paced, team environment
*Be available on ALL Holidays

Skills
Valid health card (where applicable)
Able to use knives and all kitchen equipment.
Follow Safety guidelines and wear cut glove when using and handling knives. Ensures that others do as well.
Able to identify all steaks.
Able to cook steaks to requested doneness without the use of "weights".
Some supervisory skills to lead people on line backup and dishwasher.
Good people skills; able to handle inter-departmental demands and work for long periods of time.
Ability to read and follow recipes.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Able to read tickets and communicate orders.
