Role of the Restaurant Manager:·

Facilitating the smooth running of the Restaurant throughout each service.

Responsible for managing the team of waiters, waitresses and restaurant supervisors to ensure a high level of customer service.

· Holding daily department team briefing, ensuring all appropriate information and updates are communicated to the team including the menu and any special requirements.

· Liaising with the Head Chef and kitchen team as well as other departments.

· Work in a hands-on capacity leading from the front.

· To coach and mentor the team and identify training needs, including identifying and managing performance.

· Deal with any customer comments in a polite and pleasant manner, with any complaints being resolved wherever possible.

· Delegation of duties within the department

· Preparing rotas and co-ordinate staff levels in the department according to business needs.

· Maintaining and upholding all health and safety and hygiene practices

· Attend management meetings, as required.


Experience / Skills of the Restaurant Manager:

· Minimum of 2 years' experience in restaurant management or supervisory role is required.

· Excellent customer service skills.

· Immaculate personal presentation with a genuine smile.

· Excellent attention to detail.

· Flexible and adaptable to respond to differing client needs.

· Confident, enthusiastic and motivated to deliver great service.

· Proven people management experience, including managing poor performance, training and development.

· Experience of working in a restaurant team in a 4-star hotel or above is desirable.

· Computer literacy is helpful, and a willingness to learn and use hospitality software.

· Experience of working with multiple departments to achieve results.

· Good interpersonal and leadership skills including communication and team building.

· An awareness of Health and Safety regulations and ensuring compliance.

· Strong team working ethic with the capability to take responsibility for the team.

· Works well under pressure.


Working Hours:

Full-time 40 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 including evenings and weekends.
