Description

ULG is a collective of 8 venues across London, each with its own unique personality. We are a young, diverse group, dedicated to creating great neighbourhood spaces and supporting our people, our community, and our world. We offer a great place to work with opportunities for all to grow in a culture based on kindness, quality, simplicity, and loving what you do.

We’re now on the lookout for a warm, confident, and experienced Floor Manager to join the team at Bobby Fitzpatrick, our iconic West Hampstead cocktail bar.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who’s passionate about hospitality, thrives in a high-energy, relaxed but attentive service environment, and has a genuine interest in cocktails, especially rum, and all things drink-led. You’ll be working closely with your venue manager and the wider team to run vibrant services, deliver top-notch guest experiences, and lead by example on the floor.

What you'll be doing as Floor Manager:

  • Running high-volume, fun services with confidence, keeping your cool under pressure, and making sure every guest feels welcomed, seen and looked after.
  • Managing bookings efficiently and proactively to maximise both revenue and guest experience.
  • Taking ownership of floor sections, ensuring smooth section delegation and support for the team during busy shifts.
  • Supporting in shift management, including team briefings, coordinating breaks, and ensuring everyone knows the game plan for the service.
  • Using your menu knowledge – from our cocktails and spirits to food and specials – to upsell, educate, and ensure consistency and quality on every serve.
  • Being a go-to for drinks knowledge, with a special interest in rum and cocktails – you'll help train and inspire the team, and stay excited about what’s coming next.
  • Contributing to a positive, fun and respectful team culture where people feel empowered to be themselves and do their best work.

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience in a busy bar or restaurant setting, ideally with cocktail or drinks-led service.
  • A people-first attitude and natural leadership skills – you're confident managing a team on shift and motivating others with energy and warmth.
  • Strong organisational skills and a calm, solutions-focused approach to challenges on shift.
  • Solid knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and bar service – and a curiosity to learn more.
  • Someone who loevs a high energy environment and genuinely enjoys hospitality.
  •  Experience with bookings platforms (ideally Collins but full training will be given) and a good eye for detail when it comes to managing covers and guest flow.

What you can look forward to when you join ULG:

  • A competitive package made up of base rate & service charge
  • Team Member referral bonus of up to £1000
  • An extra day of paid holiday for each consecutive year of service
  • Pre-payday access to your wages through WageStream
  • Membership of Hospitality Rewards with access to hundreds of perks and discounts, along with wellbeing support & GP access
  • 35% off food and drink in ULG venues for you and up to 2 guests
  • Cost price wine through our fabulous suppliers
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • Workplace Nursery Benefits Scheme
  • Personalised training at every stage of your career
  • Supplier visits and masterclasses - think breweries, wineries, butchery & farms
  • Summer & Christmas parties every year
  • A £75 ULG tab on your birthday for you and a guest
  • Charity opportunities
  • Come as you are – be part of a creative, diverse, and inclusive culture
