Description
Pastry cooks will be responsible for producing pastries and desserts during daytime shifts and plating desserts
during service. They will be expected to skillfully apply baking techniques, demonstrate a working knowledge of
kitchen equipment and assist chefs and fellow kitchen staff as needed. Additionally, pastry cooks will be expected to
effectively execute recipes; adhere to yield guides and properly rotate, store, label and date all products. After
completing a comprehensive training program, line cooks will be expected to efficiently and successfully execute a
busy service; have detailed knowledge of food and various cooking techniques and ensure food quality is at its
highest standards. To be successful in this position, line cooks must demonstrate the spirit of hospitality, excellent
attention to detail, strong communication skills, teamwork and a sense of urgency. Previous pastry experience is
preferred.
