Job Description:​ We are looking for a passionate, committed and hard working Club Manager for our busy, vibrant club. As Club Manager, you are the centre point of the club and responsible for smooth, 5 star operation on a daily basis. You’ll need to be kind, passionate and caring and also be used to dealing with customers politely and efficiently. This varied role also includes ​tasks in HR, finance, general operations, health and safety, maintenance and client relationships.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure smooth running of Club on a daily basis ensuring the overall standards and cleanliness of the club is maintained.
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting client relationships. Interacting with individual clients to understand their needs and ensure they are gaining the best experience at Bodyism.
  • Overseeing recruitment, training and general HR tasks for the club. Responsible for providing guidance, direction and motivation to support staff, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
  • Overseeing key financial processes within club operation including managing budgets, enhancing profitability, target setting and reaching sales targets.
  • Liaise with company officials to develop strategies to increase sales, expand markets, and promote business.
  • Maintain close relationships with company directors to ensure brand standards and directions are adhered to.
  • Weekly check ins with other Club Management Staff including Membership manager, Cafe & Operations Manager, Head Trainer and FOH Manager.
  • Overseeing Club Health and Safety - ensuring relevant training, checks and paperwork is adhered to as per company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate maintenance of building and equipment.
  • Produce weekly and monthly reports to Management.
  • Overseeing, attending and running meetings when required.
  • Manage day to day service delivery from self-employed Personal Training/Group class instructors at the club, ensuring that Bodyism ethos and standards are being applied.
  • Ensuring that personal standards of presentation of all staff are of the highest quality.


Prerequisites:

  • 2 years previous management experience, with proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a positive and uplifting way
  • A passion for wellness and a commitment to change people’s lives.
  • Full availability to work flexibly including evenings and weekends
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, and organisational skills.
  • Excellent problem solving & change management skills
  • Ability to work proactively and in a bustling café/reception environment.
  • Ability to use initiative and critical thinking skills, problem solving.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Ability to build relationships with fellow team members and members based on our company values of Kindness, Compassion and Respect.
  • Computer skills with particular focus on scheduling systems 
  • Experience in handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.

Preferred skills:

  • Desire for career growth within the company
  • Proficient in scheduling system Mind Body Online and Excel
