Now Hiring: Savory Cook | Bonrue Bakery

Who We Are

At Bonrue Bakery, we pair fast-paced precision with scratch-made quality. Known for our pastries and buttery viennoiseries, our savory menu is quickly becoming just as iconic—featuring egg bakes, sandwiches, spreads, and seasonal specials, all crafted fresh in-house and delivered at speed.

Behind every perfect breakfast sandwich is a prep team that runs like clockwork. That’s where you come in.

Shift Schedule

Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

The Role

As a Savory Cook, you’ll support daily prep and production for Bonrue’s savory offerings. You’ll follow recipes with precision, manage your station with care, and keep things moving so we can serve hundreds of guests every morning with consistency and speed.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare ingredients daily: chop, portion, marinate, label, and store
  • Assist in cooking hot savory items like eggs, proteins, sauces, and spreads
  • Follow detailed recipes and batch prep instructions
  • Set up and break down prep and cooking stations efficiently
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area
  • Keep track of par levels and communicate low stock to leadership
  • Support savory line cooks and baristas during peak service times
  • Ensure proper food rotation and storage (FIFO method)
  • Follow all food safety and health regulations consistently
  • Assist with occasional seasonal or special menu prep

Who You Are

You might be a great fit if you:

  • Have 6 months – 2 years of professional kitchen or prep experience
  • Open availability: must be able to work morning or evening shifts, with flexibility around days off (including weekends and holidays as needed)
  • Can follow recipes and instructions with care and speed
  • Are reliable, efficient, and calm under pressure
  • Communicate well and enjoy working as part of a team
  • Care about consistency and quality—even in high-volume environments
  • Hold (or are willing to obtain) a valid Food Handler’s Permit
  • Can lift 50 lbs and work early mornings, weekends, or holidays as needed
  • Thrive in clean, well-organized kitchens and don’t cut corners

 What We Offer
  • Competitive hourly pay
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Cross-training opportunities in kitchen, barista, and baking
  • Growth paths into Lead Prep, Savory Line, or Kitchen Supervisor roles
  • A fast-paced, supportive kitchen culture rooted in trust and high standards
  • A brand that’s growing fast—and recognizes the team that makes it happen
