Description

We are seeking an energetic and passionate Assistant Manager to join our vibrant authentic Italian restaurant in the heart of Spitalfields. This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional who has a deep appreciation for Italian food, strong wine knowledge, and proven leadership in a busy restaurant environment. The successful individual will have a passion for service, experience of leading teams with energy and personality and a love for working in the industry. 

Working closely with the General Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining the standards across the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the restaurant
  • Deliver outstanding guest service and maintain a warm, welcoming atmosphere
  • Manage and oversee the reservations system to maximise covers and ensure smooth service flow
  • Lead, motivate, and support the front-of-house team during service
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety and food hygiene regulations
  • Assist with staff training, scheduling, and performance management
  • Help maintain operational standards and contribute to the overall success of the restaurant

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a management role within a restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and Italian wines.
  • Experience managing restaurant reservations systems and guest flow.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of health & safety and food hygiene regulations. 
  • Ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced environment.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering memorable dining experiences.

What We Offer

  • Pay: £32k Per year plus Tronc (estimated at around £ 45k depending on business volume), with potential to grow. (48 hours per week).
  • 33 days of holiday including bank holidays.
