Brought to you by iconic brand BOXPARK, BOXHALL is a new food hall offering an eclectic and exciting collection of culinary concepts, steeped in heritage-rich settings.

Our debut site is coming soon to the city of London, located within a historic arcade, just a stone's throw away from the uk’s busiest train station, Liverpool street.

Bringing together the latest London talent across a curated choice of 13 independently-owned kitchens, bars, delis and food and drink purveyors, BOXHALL City provides an escape where guests can indulge in connection, comfort and culinary discovery.

We are looking for a General Manager to open this exciting new site. You will manage a team of managers, supervisors, bar and floor staff, security, cleaners to drive standards and sales. Ultimately you will take full accountability and ownership of the financial and overall results of the venue.

 KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Delivering and adhering to BOXHALL values must be central to your role and should run through any action you take whilst fulfilling your responsibilities as a General Manager.

Team Management

Accountable for the delivery of the performance management process in line with company procedures

Lead and inspire individuals to develop a highly motivated, committed team. Ensure the team receive, understand & adhere to all company policies as well as upholding service standards.

Coordinate workload of management team within the premises

Guide department leaders through their decision making. Help them to deliver on expenditure targets, recruitment, GP’s, KPI’s and deadlines. 

Commercial/Financial Management

Accountable for venue weekly accounts and all company paperwork as per company & audit procedures.

Work within the company budgets relating to labour, consumables & wet products, to provide the standard of service required.

Control the cash handling within the premises to ensure all relevant departments are aware of their responsibilities and card payments are recorded accurately.

Work with the BM to control all stocks within the premises and ensure line checks are completed accurately, daily and in a timely fashion.

Develop all aspects of incremental sales within the premises, implementing new initiatives to meet and exceed targets.

Maintain and oversee all HR practices for new and existing employees

Develop accurate financial forecasting for the venue and plan budgets around it.

Be accountable for all controllable expenditure

100% accurate payroll submissions to ensure staff are paid accurately and on time.

Oversee contracts for cleaning, security & waste management to ensure highest level of service and value

Quality Assurance/Guest Service

 Manage all aspects of the guest service within the premises in order to anticipate and exceed guest expectations, using the core values of the business to spearhead initiatives, incentives and bonuses tailored to maximise the guest experience.

Monitor, analyse and provide feedback to all departments regarding complaints and all other guest feedback to identify trends and take proactive measures keeping the business at the forefront of the industry.

Celebrate successes and be responsive to failures to ensure constantly adapting to the changing environment

Resolution of guest complaints within the premises, going the extra mile to ensure repeat business and satisfaction of all parties.

Ensure all Health and Safety & Fire procedures are implemented according to legal standards.

Take ownership of venue audits, perform regular inspections of site and allocate responsibility to leaders within the venue to complete tasks and maintain standards

Work closely with marketing and events team to conceptualise and deliver on large scale events to drive footfall and revenue 

Work closely with and have an excellent working relationship with all relevant authorities such as EHO, City of London Licensing, etc.

Regularly audit and feedback on standards and operations of in house traders/kitchens in house

Incident Management

Manage all incidents in line with company procedures.

Ensure all employees are adequately trained in local procedures.

Anticipate potential problems/situations and act accordingly to create solutions.

React in line with company procedure to any unexpected situations.

Manage & lead security team and feed issues back to them to improve
