Brand Manager

 

We're looking for a commercially minded and strategically driven Brand Manager who is passionate about building brands and delivering measurable results. You will thrive on turning insights into action, developing impactful marketing plans, and collaborating with both internal teams and international brand partners to bring ambitious strategies to life.

An excellent communicator and relationship builder, you'll combine creativity with strong commercial awareness, balancing attention to detail with a focus on the bigger picture.

What kind of things will I be doing?

You will be the key conduit for all ABUK communication and reporting to relevant stakeholders of the brand(s) designated to this role. This role will also be responsible for communicating the brand plan(s) for the UK market, managing the brand owner’s annual A&P budget for UK activity, assessing ROI against strategic priorities and reporting to brand(s) on performance.  In summary, you will be:

  • Collaborating with the brand owner(s) to draw up an annual brand plan for the UK market, and deliver on every aspect of this within the A&P budget
  • Building strong relationships with ABUK heads of sales to understand feedback on channel strategy at SKU-level
  • Generating monthly reports on depletions, inventory, shipments and other activity
  • Collating commentary from the ABUK sales team to identify performance drivers
  • Collating updates from the ABUK sales team about new listings (including pouring status and contract details), and feedback on tenders
  • Sharing relevant category and market insight, and overlaying with brand-specific analysis or recommendations
  • Supporting with PR and/or social media if required, both on ABUK’s own channels and on the brand owner’s channels
  • Liaising with relevant internal stakeholders to update and share a comprehensive budget tracker, demonstrating actual spend in comparison to original plans, and recharging all relevant spends to the brand owner
  • Creating and delivering a quarterly business review, overseen by the Marketing Director
  • Creating activation reports and case studies on all branded events and activations
  • Scheduling and supporting with brand inductions for all ABUK new joiners
  • Supporting the Brand Ambassadors/Activators in delivering activations, events, training, PR and employee incentives (where applicable)
  • Creating, maintaining and auditing brand assets in adherence with ABUK brand guidelines
  • Supporting the ABUK sales function when required throughout business development, tenders and account management


What kind of thing have I done before?

You will have experience of working with challenger brands in the FMCG world, although working in drinks with the supporting qualifications would be a real bonus. Marketing for third party brands will also help you understand how things work with us.

You will have extraordinarily high attention to detail, with excellent presentation skills. Commercial and numerical acumen will also help you successfully manage budgets.
