Brewpoint!!!! Built on 5 generations of craft, is set to become Bedford’s predominate destination for drinkers and diners. Incorporating a bar, restaurant, tap room, roastery, shop and events space, guests will be able to experience exceptional modern beer and beyond!

Our aim is to become a unique marketplace for food where we can deliver amazing fresh dishes in a relaxed environment whilst providing diners with a real point of difference.

Standing proud just off the A6 in Fairhill - Bedford, we're excited to be opening in April. There is plenty of outdoor seating with shelters and heating so guests can soak up the ambience while enjoying yummy food & drink with live entertainment on selective days.

Your role as Senior Sous Chef:

- Deputising in HC absence to plan and direct food preparation and service; above all, setting an exceptional standard of service with your work ethic and desire
- Effectively supervising and managing other kitchen staff
- Responsibly seizing control of situations or problems that may arise at any moment and calmly applying the relevant action to address any issue
- Work closely with your head chef to effectively control stock and food GP, and identify opportunities to maximise profitability
- Where necessary, managing underperforming staff members as well as providing incentives for staff members to go above and beyond the expectations of their particular chef roles.
- Outside of the kitchen, take responsibility for, or effectively delegate the kitchen due diligence procedures including; HACCP; COSHH; food wastage and where necessary, staff rotas.

What we are looking for:

- Minimum 24 months experience as Sous or Chef within a volume environment
- Passion for fresh food, ideally pizza!
- Good initiative to increase efficiency and remain busy during working hours
- Proven management capabilities and effectively trained junior team members
- High food hygiene standards and high attention to due diligence procedures
- A committed and passionate attitude to work, always looking to improve with a desire to progress
- Consistent high working standards including attention to detail, organisation, reliability, and pro-activity
