A Middle Eastern Feast; Bubala (a Yiddish term of endearment; 'sweetheart', 'darling', 'honey') is all about our vibrant vegetarian cuisine, culture and our passion for hospitality.

Pop-up-turned-permanent success story, Bubala has two restaurants; one in the heart of Spitalfields and the second restaurant in the bustling streets of Soho. We take our inspiration from across the Middle East, with bold and complex flavours, textures and a measure of playfulness. Purely vegetarian (though likely unnoticed!), we adopt a no substitutes attitude, shunning the synthetic and processed and instead championing the best and most exciting veg we can get our hands on.

The waiter delivers exceptional dining experiences to our valued guests As a Waiter, you will be providing attentive and courteous service while welcoming guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Your role involves maintaining a clean and organised dining area, assisting with table/bar setups, and promptly addressing customer inquiries and requests. Collaborating closely with all areas of the restaurant, you'll contribute to the seamless flow of service. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills, a positive demeanour, and a passion for delivering top-notch hospitality. People & Communication
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring  that E.R.I.C (Expression, Resilience, Integrity, Compassion); the company's values are being upheld 

  • Reporting any issues with team performance to the General Manager if comfortable in doing so

  • Supporting the front of house team in service standards once confident doing so. 

  • Manage tasks effectively and ensure efficient teamwork.

  • Maintain a positive and productive work environment.

KPIs:

  • Attending E.R.I.C within the first sixth months of employment and refreshing on an annual basis.. 

  • Leading the team by example in the workplace.


  • Service & Operations
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the daily operations of the restaurant; including running all sections in the restaurant.

  • Confident  in opening and closing duties of  the restaurant.

  • Confident in running the bar and ensuring the correct levels of stock and prep are maintained when on shift.

  • Confident in running all sections of the floor. 

  • Ensuring that the restaurant is ready for service when on duty.

  • Ensure that all food and drink products meet high standards of quality whenever they are in the business and effective actions are taken when issues arise and suggestions or recommendations are made to the General Manager. 

  • Assisting in any customer requirements as communicated and ensuring that this standard is upheld at all times. 

  • Confidently supporting drinks production / organisation when required to. 

  • Support and maintain a positive and productive work environment


KPIs

  • Effectively running sections day-to-day.

  • Leading by example for the front of house team at all levels. 

Product Quality & Development
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all food and beverage products meet high standards of quality

  • Suggesting new improvements surrounding service to the General Manager.

  • Ensure that all drink products that leave the bar meet high standards of quality when either running the shift or working on the bar. 

  • Identify any ongoing concerns surrounding the quality control directly to the General Manager 

KPIs

  • Customer feedback scores performing against targets. 

  • Internal feedback audits. 

Health & Safety
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reporting any issues regarding maintenance to the General Manager.

  • Ensuring that the restaurant and surrounding storage areas meet all health and safety standards.

  • Ensuring all equipment is in working order and any damaged equipment is reported to the General Manager.

  • Comply with all applicable health and safety regulations with guidance through the restaurant manager 


KPIs

  • Alert 65 daily checklists completed 

  • Ensuring the restaurant and surrounding areas are kept clean and tidy

  • Pass Food Safety Level 2 - online training. 

  • Pass Allergen Training - online training.

  • Pass Health & Safety  - online training.
