Nestled on the banks of the Helford River, Budock Vean Hotel is a peaceful retreat known for exceptional service, natural beauty, and warm hospitality. As our event bookings grow, we’re looking for a friendly and organised Part-Time Event Sales Assistant to support our busy Events & Sales team.

Whether you're returning to work, balancing other commitments, or looking for a role with variety, this is a fantastic opportunity to work in a professional and welcoming environment with flexibility to suit your lifestyle.

As a Part-Time Event Sales Assistant, you’ll support the coordination of weddings, private celebrations, group bookings, and small corporate events. You’ll assist with enquiries, proposals, and general admin, helping ensure our guests feel informed, supported, and excited about their experience with us.  

Role & Responsibilities

Responding to event enquiries via phone and email with warmth and professionalism
Assisting with proposals, contracts, and event details
Tracking bookings, payments, and updating guest record
Supporting with occasional client show rounds and event preparation
Helping with admin tasks to support the events team
Communicating with other hotel departments to ensure smooth guest handovers
Following up after events for guest feedback and future bookings  

What You’ll Bring

  • A confident, friendly communication style

  • A well-organised and detail-focused approach

  • Good computer skills and a willingness to learn hotel systems (training provided)

  • A collaborative mindset and proactive attitude

  • Previous experience in hospitality, events, customer service or admin is helpful — but not essential
