MARKETING MANAGER

BYRON & MOTHER CLUCKER

Level: Mid–Senior Salary: £40,000+ Location: On-site, full-time, permanent Reports to: Group Leadership

About the Role

Byron is a well-known UK burger brand operating in one of the most competitive, delivery-driven markets in hospitality.

The next phase of growth depends on sharper execution, stronger relevance, and marketing that directly drives commercial performance—not just noise.

We’re hiring a Marketing Manager to take real ownership of that challenge across Byron and Mother Clucker.

This is a hands-on role in a small, fast-moving team, where you’ll be responsible for delivering marketing activity that drives measurable business results across both brands.

Role Purpose

You will own the execution and performance of marketing across Byron and Mother Clucker—ensuring activity is commercially effective, brand-consistent, and delivered with pace and discipline.

You’ll work closely with Operations, Finance, Analytics, CRM and external agencies to turn marketing plans into real-world impact.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Commercial Performance

  • Drive revenue growth across dine-in, delivery and repeat customer behaviour
  • Ensure all marketing activity is clearly linked to commercial outcomes
  • Use data and insight to track performance and optimise activity

Success looks like: consistent growth in footfall, delivery sales, and measurable campaign impact.

Brand Execution & Governance

  • Support delivery of agency-led brand work across both brands
  • Ensure consistent application of brand guidelines across all channels
  • Act as a brand guardian across Operations, suppliers and partners

Success looks like: clear, consistent brand execution across every customer touchpoint.

Campaign Strategy & Delivery

  • Own end-to-end campaign planning and execution
  • Adapt campaigns based on channel performance and commercial priorities
  • Coordinate delivery across internal teams and external partners

Success looks like: campaigns delivered on time, with clear commercial outcomes and continuous improvement.

Content & Social Media

  • Plan, create and optimise content across Instagram, TikTok and key channels
  • Balance reactive and planned content based on performance and relevance

Success looks like: improving engagement, stronger audience relevance, and content that drives action.

Delivery Platform Marketing

  • Manage marketing execution across platforms like Uber Eats and Deliveroo
  • Optimise listings, imagery, menus and promotions in line with brand and campaigns

Success looks like: increased conversion, order growth, and strong alignment with wider marketing activity.

In-Store & Physical Marketing

  • Own in-store marketing materials (menus, POS, window assets)
  • Ensure campaigns are executed consistently in restaurants

Success looks like: high-quality in-store execution that supports sales and upsell.

Budget Management

  • Manage and allocate marketing budget across channels
  • Track spend against performance and adjust based on results

Success looks like: efficient spend with clear return on investment.

CRM & Retention

  • Work with CRM to align campaigns with retention and loyalty activity

Success looks like: improved repeat visits and stronger customer engagement.

Community, Reputation & PR

  • Monitor and respond to customer feedback across platforms
  • Coordinate messaging with PR partners

Success looks like: consistent tone, strong reputation management, and aligned messaging.

Insight, Trends & AI

  • Stay close to customer behaviour, food trends and competitors
  • Use data and AI tools to improve speed and quality of marketing output

Success looks like: faster, smarter execution and continuous performance improvement.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in hospitality, food, retail or consumer brands
  • Strong commercial mindset with a focus on revenue impact
  • Proven experience delivering campaigns end-to-end
  • Confidence using data to inform decisions
  • Strong content judgement and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders

How You’ll Work

  • Hands-on, proactive and delivery-focused
  • Comfortable operating at pace in a small team
  • Highly organised with clear ownership of priorities
  • Collaborative across Operations, Finance, Analytics and agencies
  • Focused on outcomes, not just activity

Why This Role?

Additional Information

This job description outlines the core responsibilities of the role. From time to time, you may be required to take on additional tasks aligned with the scope and seniority of the position.
