Role Overview:
The Operations Manager reports directly to the General Manager and plays a critical role in driving daily operations while ensuring every guest interaction reflects our high standards. This position supports the restaurant team, oversees a designated group of employees, and partners with the Executive Chef and GM to manage costs, drive sales, and grow the business. Additionally, this role manages our hotel partnership at the Mondrian, overseeing morning coffee service for guests, in-room dining, and the staff cafeteria.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Development
Recruit, hire, train, and retain top talent across operations and culinary teams
Conduct performance reviews, document coaching, and identify key employees for growth
Lead by example, modeling brand standards and fostering a supportive, high-performing culture
Oversee scheduling, team management, and daily staff performance
Operational Excellence
Become proficient in all FOH and BOH functions
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations
Oversee daily venue management, including administrative tasks, repairs, and maintenance
Authorize service comps and voids, maintaining operational integrity
Brand Standards & Guest Experience
Maintain consistent service and presentation across all food, beverage, and guest interactions
Conduct daily venue walkthroughs to ensure “Mint Condition” standards
Handle guest complaints with professionalism and urgency
Support development of new service standards, menu items, and guest engagement practices
Marketing & Business Development
Support marketing strategies and business development initiatives
Coordinate VIP, influencer, and promotional programs to maximize revenue
Build and maintain positive relationships with neighboring businesses
Inventory, Labor & Financial Management
Oversee inventory and labor management, controlling costs and reducing waste
Support financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management
Ensure proper handling of cash, petty cash, credit card transactions, and tips
Assist with audits and ensure compliance with financial controls
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field, or equivalent experience
3–5 years management experience, ideally in upscale restaurants or lifestyle hotels
Thorough knowledge of food & beverage operations, health codes, and liquor laws
Exceptional multitasking, communication, and organizational skills
Passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences
Proven ability to build positive working relationships and lead teams effectively
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 35 lbs
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
Manual dexterity for operating restaurant equipment and completing daily tasks

Full-time, Monday–Sunday (including weekends and holidays)
