Location: Houston, TX (Not Remote)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Loss Prevention to lead our loss prevention efforts within the cellular retail environment. The Director will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive loss prevention strategies to minimize theft, fraud, and other risks across our retail locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in loss prevention management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive results in a fast-paced retail environment. This position is based out of Houston, TX and is not remote.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Implement Loss Prevention Strategies: Develop and implement comprehensive loss prevention strategies and programs to minimize theft, fraud, and other risks across all retail locations.
  2. Leadership and Team Management: Lead and manage a team of loss prevention professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure the team's success.
  3. Surveillance and Monitoring: Oversee the implementation and utilization of surveillance tools and techniques to monitor store activity and identify potential security threats or suspicious behavior.
  4. Investigation and Resolution: Lead and oversee thorough investigations into instances of theft, fraud, or other losses, gathering evidence and working closely with law enforcement authorities as needed to resolve issues and recover losses.
  5. Training and Education: Develop and deliver training and education programs on loss prevention best practices for store staff and management, ensuring awareness of common theft tactics and procedures for handling suspicious situations.
  6. Auditing and Compliance: Conduct regular audits of store procedures and practices to ensure compliance with loss prevention policies and identify areas for improvement.
  7. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with store management, cross-functional teams, and senior leadership to develop and implement initiatives aimed at reducing losses and improving overall security. Provide regular updates and reports on loss prevention performance and trends to senior leadership.
  8. Technology Integration: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and implement cutting-edge loss prevention tools and systems to enhance security and reduce vulnerabilities.
  9. Analytics and Insights: Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to analyze patterns and trends related to theft, fraud, and other losses, and identify opportunities to improve loss prevention strategies and operational efficiency. Generate actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to inform decision-making at all levels of the organization.

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in loss prevention management, preferably in a retail environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve results.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing loss prevention strategies and programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Proficiency in conducting investigations and gathering evidence.

  • Flexibility to travel to retail locations as needed.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
