We're Hiring: Sushi Chef at SUSHI TONARI inside Mercato Metropolitano – London's First Sustainable Community Market

⭐ TONARI THE NEIGHBOUR HATANO YOSHIKI is the first London branch of a sushi restaurant that has received the Michelin Bib Gourmand three years in a row in Tokyo. Located at Mercato Mayfair, we serve traditional Edo-style standing sushi.


[Position]

Sushi Chef at SUSHI TONARI


[Salary]

£14–20 per hour (based on experience and skills) + tips
Minimum 3-month training period


[Requirements]

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a sushi chef

  • Experience with Omakase is highly valued

  • Must be available for long-term (1 year or more)

  • Immediate start preferred


[Working Hours]

  • Shift-based between 9:30 AM – 10:45 PM
    (9:30 AM – 9:45 PM on Sundays)

  • 48 hours/week

  • Breaks provided

  • Shifts are scheduled every two weeks for easy planning


[Holidays & Leave]

  • Based on shift schedule

As a sushi chef, you’ll be responsible for Omakase, customer service, and takeaway sushi menu items.

◎ Love hospitality and talking with people
◎ Are cheerful, positive, and work with a smile
◎ Are motivated, responsible, and aim to improve as part of the team
◎ Value teamwork and collaboration

Knowledge of sake and wine is a big plus!
