Job description
Caliente Cab in The West Village is seeking a friendly, knowledgeable server/bartender with a passion for hospitality to join our team. We are looking for a competent Restaurant Server to take people’s orders, deliver them to our guests, and maintain and enhance the quality of our customer service. As the primary point of contact for guest interactions in the dining room, you will be responsible for maintaining a pleasant atmosphere for guests in the restaurant. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable of the hospitality industry and have a high level of service skills, tequila knowledge and interpersonal skills. Must have a flexible schedule. Responsibilities
-Overseeing table maintenance with special attention to sanitation and order
-Making menu suggestions and describe the dishes to guests
-Take/serve orders, answer questions, and up-sell other menu items
-Delivering food to tables
-Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
-Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
-Issue bills and accept payment
-Monitoring guest satisfaction
-Familiarity with POS

Requirements
-Proven customer serving experience
-Customer-oriented approach and patience
-Problem solving and decision making skills
-Hands on experience in cashier duties
-Excellent people skills
-Responsible and trustworthy
-Attention to cleanliness and safety
-High school diploma; food safety training will be considered a plus
