Job Title
Kitchen Assistant/Porter

Hours & Pay
The role is based at The Courtyard Cafe, Fitzwilliam Museum, Trumpington Road, Cambridge, CB2 1RB.

The hourly rate is £12.60.

40hrs per week - 5 days over 7 - Daytime only. Rotas done one month in advance

Job Summary
A Kitchen Assistant/Porter is responsible for supporting the kitchen team with general up keep of the kitchen with cleaning and tidying and basic food perspiration.

Skills required
The candidate will need to have the ability to come together and work as part of a dedicated back of house team, have motivations and a ‘cannot do enough to please’ attitude.

The role is very hands on. The candidate will need to be hard working and flexible with the tasks required.

Responsibilities

  • Be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment of which self-management and prioritisation is key
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Live and abide by CDC Events company values

Tasks & main duties

  • Washing up, maintaining the dishwasher
  • General upkeep of the kitchen
  • Supporting the kitchen team in any areas that are needed

  • Bring energy and passion to the role
  • Be flexible and provide a ‘cannot do enough to please’ approach
  • Possess excellent communication skills with the CDC team
