We’re looking for a Night Shift Engineer to join our team and take ownership of all maintenance issues across our hotels and commercial properties during overnight hours. Your key responsibility will be to ensure a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for guests and staff throughout the night.
This role is ideal for someone reliable, self-sufficient, and comfortable working independently during unsupervised hours.
Perform overnight maintenance and emergency repairs across hotel and commercial properties
Address urgent guest or property issues promptly and professionally
Plumbing: Unblock drains/toilets, repair/replace taps and fittings
Electrical: Replace lamps/fittings, sockets, and switches
HVAC: Perform basic maintenance including filter cleaning/replacement
Conduct regular overnight H&S checks, including fire alarm testing, water temperature monitoring, and showerhead descaling
Ensure maintenance records are updated and tasks are logged correctly
Report and escalate any critical issues for follow-up during the day shift
Previous maintenance or engineering experience in a hotel or hospitality environment preferred
Comfortable working alone during night shifts
Good communicator with solid problem-solving skills
Awareness of Health & Safety regulations
Flexible and proactive approach to work
City & Guilds Level 2 in a trade (preferred but not essential)
