Caravan is a pioneering multi-channel, globally minded all day dining restaurant and consumer + wholesale coffee business.

We’re looking for a creative and engaged Digital Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team. Reporting into the Marketing Director, the role will be responsible for the digital marketing output of Caravan Restaurants and Caravan Coffee Roasters, planning and executing engaging brand content across everything from social media to CRM, as we grow and bring our well-travelled food and drink to more people.

Working closely with the restaurant ops team, roastery team and sales team, this role will have 3 primary areas of responsibility:

Social

  • Own and evolve the Caravan tone of voice, writing playful, entertaining copy for online and off-line use across social media, website, digital advertising and email marketing, as well as in our restaurants, events and anywhere you might find Caravan.
  • Fully own Caravan Coffee Roasters social channels to include:
  • Overseeing content development from shooting your own iPhone videos on the fly to working with our in house or external photographers to manage shoots
  • Uploading, scheduling, and community management
  • Work with restaurant ops team to guide and curate the Caravan Restaurants social media channel, including content development and supporting on uploading and scheduling where necessary.
  • Work closely with restaurant and roastery teams to own and execute the digital comms plan for new product and restaurant launches
Content
  • Collaborate with our freelance designer to solve creative briefs from ideation to execution and write briefs for freelance creators to create and deliver high quality branded content
  • Project manage execution of key marketing initiatives and calendar events, bringing them to life across the restaurant and roastery businesses
  •  Keep our media agency supplied with content and support them with the planning and optimisation of campaigns 

Email/Comms

  • Work with the Senior Brand and Marketing Manager in developing tactics to increase acquisition, conversion and order value on the Caravan online shop
  • Write, design, edit and build engaging CRM emails for our restaurant and roastery customers
  • Ensure all information is kept up to date across our restaurants’ websites and all of our listings on Google My Business.
  • Maintain restaurant marketing packs and be restaurants point of contact for day to day marketing support, including communicating initiatives.

What we're looking for:

  • A self-starter who loves what they do – delivering the Caravan brand promise means doing things right and having fun doing it.
  • 2+ years relevant marketing experience in-house at a hospitality or FMCG brand. Management experience isn't necessary – you'll be part of an experienced team, so this is the perfect opportunity to step up and be mentored while developing the next stage of your career as a marketeer.
  • A confident copywriter who can write funny, clever words to any length, for any purpose
  • Strong eye for visuals – while you won’t need to make every piece of content yourself, you will need to be confident overseeing photographers and designers to execute the Caravan look and feel.
  • Experience running multiple social channels, including community management, posting organic brand content and paid social.
  •  Ability to create and edit video content for reels and Tik Tok.
  • An excellent media planner, who’s great at creating, managing and reporting on digital campaigns across social, email and website.
  • Great organisational skills and agility in working across multiple projects
  • A love of restaurants and coffee
