Group Bar Manager

Salary – From £45,000 to £50,000 per year, depending on experience

At Caravan, we share a love of mighty fine coffee, good food and friendly vibes.  Over the past 13 years, we have built our award-winning restaurants and roastery as well as investing time, money and resources into initiatives that have a positive impact on the world around us. We believe in pushing boundaries and challenging perceptions, championing people, community, diversity, inclusion and sustainability.

Moving forwards, we are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and superstar Group Bar Manager to join our journey!

Our Group Bar Manager will be totally responsible for all Caravan bars: all drinks, specs, training and team support. You will ensure an excellent drinking experience for our customers, leading from the front and able to execute the drinks menu with efficiency and flair.

To say thanks for choosing us, we offer our Group Bar Manager and all teams:

  • Free meals & drinks when working
  • Dining discount when visiting with family & friends.
  • Coffee discount
  • Bike to work scheme
  • Mental health and well-being support
  • Financial health education and support
  • Leadership training and development
  • Birthday & Anniversary Treat - on your birthday and on your work anniversary, you'll receive a Caravan voucher to spend in any of our restaurants
  • Development and career progression, 80% of all our management roles are filled internally.

As a Caravan Group Bar Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Lead our bars taking full ownership of all aspects of our bars’ operations and play a central role of all commercial aspects.
  • Have a sound knowledge of spirits, classic cocktails and coffee and be passionate about working with quality food ingredients, an array of spirit brands & artisan coffee. Full of energy, our Bar Manager will have the desire to be the best, support our teams and progress.
  • Work alongside an external resource to ensure the drinks menu is developed to keep in line with trends and offers.
  • Fully responsible for analysing stock takes in all sites and will be required to work with FnB to ensure the required GP for drinks is achieved.

Caravan Values

We live by 4 core values, which we expect our Group Bar Manager and all our teams to live, promote and role model at all times:

  • Caravan of Love
  • No boundaries
  • Well-travelled
  • All welcome

Sustainability

We expect our teams to support environmental stewardship targets and efficiency goals by following departmental environmental policies and monitoring own usage of vital resources such as energy, disposable goods, and food waste, to name a few.

Diversity & Inclusion

All our teams must respect individual differences with regards to identity, national and cultural background, and level of experience in all interactions while at work, including with members of the public.
