Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee our organisation’s financial operations for a well established and fast-paced company. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial planning, reporting, and compliance, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial data. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong expertise in financial management and accounting software to contribute to our company’s strategic growth and stability reporting to Senior management and Directors.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets in accordance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Preparing all relevant financials, daily and weekly dashboard. Monthly management accounts, quarterly reviews and end of year reports.
- Manage the organisation’s financial software systems, including, Xero, and other relevant platforms.
- Organise Profit-and-loss statements, Tax preparation, Expense reports and Payroll.
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Monitor cash flow, analyse financial performance, and provide insights to support decision-making by senior management.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, tax laws, and internal policies through diligent record-keeping and reporting.
- Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes.
- Develop internal controls to safeguard organisational assets and improve operational efficiency.
- Supervise finance team members, providing guidance on best practices in financial management.
Skills
- Proven experience in financial management within a similar organisation or industry.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Excel and other relevant platforms.
- Excellent understanding of accounts payable procedures and overall financial processes.
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and prepare comprehensive reports for diverse audiences.
- Organised with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks undertaken.
- Strong analytical skills combined with problem-solving capabilities.
