Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee our organisation’s financial operations for a well established and fast-paced company.
The successful candidate will be responsible for financial planning, reporting, and compliance, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial data. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong expertise in financial management and accounting software to contribute to our company’s strategic growth and stability reporting to Senior management and Directors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets in accordance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements. 
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments. 
  • Preparing all relevant financials, daily and weekly dashboard. Monthly management accounts, quarterly reviews and end of year reports.
  • Manage the organisation’s financial software systems, including, Xero, and other relevant platforms. 
  • Organise Profit-and-loss statements, Tax preparation, Expense reports and Payroll.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Monitor cash flow, analyse financial performance, and provide insights to support decision-making by senior management. 
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, tax laws, and internal policies through diligent record-keeping and reporting. 
  • Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes. 
  • Develop internal controls to safeguard organisational assets and improve operational efficiency. 
  • Supervise finance team members, providing guidance on best practices in financial management.

Skills

  • Proven experience in financial management within a similar organisation or industry. 
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Excel and other relevant platforms. 
  • Excellent understanding of accounts payable procedures and overall financial processes. 
  • Ability to interpret complex financial data and prepare comprehensive reports for diverse audiences. 
  • Organised with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks undertaken. 
  • Strong analytical skills combined with problem-solving capabilities. 
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders. This role is ideal for a dedicated finance professional seeking a challenging position that offers scope for leadership within a dynamic organisation.
