We’re looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Commis Chef to join our friendly kitchen team

As part of our Butchers Hook syndicate, it offers a welcoming atmosphere for guests of all ages, featuring a spacious dining area and a dedicated indoor play zone known as the FunFort .

The food offering is centred around their signature carvery, available daily.

The job in a nutshell

  • Assist with the preparation and cooking of menu items under the guidance of senior chefs

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and food hygiene

  • Learn how to manage ingredients, prep, plating, and kitchen safety

  • Support the team during busy service times and contribute to a positive kitchen environment

  • Take every opportunity to grow your skills and confidence

What we are looking for:

  • A genuine interest in food and cooking

  • A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn

  • Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude

  • Ability to take instruction and work calmly under pressure

  • Previous kitchen experience is helpful but not essential – full training provided
