Warehouse Support Team Member

Shift: 6:30am-3pm


The Role:
As a Warehouse Associate, you will contribute to CAVA’s success by receiving and unloading truckloads of raw materials and finished goods, loading outgoing shipments, keeping the warehouse organized, staging work-in-progress dry goods, and picking materials for production orders. You will serve as the link between the warehouse and food production.       

What You will Do:

• Receive incoming deliveries and properly warehouse refrigerated and dry raw materials.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the docks, dry warehouse, and cold storage rooms.

• Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks and pallet jacks, maintaining required safety training and certifications. 

Abide by policies and procedures that support the service mindset

Manage timeline expectations within and across teams, deliver on our responsibilities accordingly
• Maintain organization of raw materials and finished good storage locations.
• Support minor maintenance of dock and material handling equipment.
• Use pick lists to select raw materials from warehouse locations and deliver them to the processing floor, and maintain documentation as required.
• Pick, pack, and palletize outgoing orders and load outbound trucks. Keep documentation as required.
• Support operations through periodic inventory counts and inbound/outbound product coordination.

• Operate the ERP and WMS systems using scan guns and tablets.

The Qualifications:

·       2+ years experience working in a warehouse environment

·       2+ years of experience operating material handling equipment, including forklifts, in a tight environment.

·       Food manufacturing/warehousing experience preferred.

·       Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently. 

·       Ability to converse with team members in both English and Spanish preferred

Physical Requirements:

·       Physical dexterity, ability to lift, up to 60 lbs. and push/pull pump jacks with up to 2,500 lbs. Weight on.

·       The ability to work in varied environmental conditions (dry, cold) 

·       The ability to stand and work on feet for 8 to 10 hours at a time 

·       Must be able to identify, assess and observe detail

·       Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively.

·       Ability to squat, kneel, bend and twist

·       Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner

·       Allergens: We prepare products with milk and sesame containing ingredients. Team members must be able to work with these ingredients.
