The Role: ERP Enterprise Resource Planning Procurement Manager (HYBRID / Able to drive to Verona, VA)

The ERP Enterprise Resource Planning Procurement Manager will pair strong organizational skills with a true appetite to source and execute strategic partnerships with farms and manufacturers to foster long-term relationships to support a dramatically growing business. A successful Procurement Manager will demonstrate attention to detail, a dynamic personality, urgency, adaptability, critical thinking, and strong negotiating skills to drive long term value proposition, both internally and externally.     

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Maintain effective communication channels to support manufacturing locations in all areas of food, facilities, and indirect products
  • Lead raw material procurement for the facility and coordinate with partner locations to drive ordering efficiencies
  • Manage plant inventories and coordinate with partner facilities to ensure sufficient safety stock levels across the enterprise
  • Work with leadership to drive cost saving initiatives and contract savings 
  • Negotiate with external vendors to secureadvantageousterms and pricing  
  • Track service level agreements, including verification of invoice pricing versus contract 
  • Track, analyze and report on vendor performance
  • Support short- and long-term sourcing efforts
  • Review and analyze vendor invoicing/changes for accuracy
  • Lead weekly production planning and maintain long-term demand plans as needed to manage long-lead procurement items
  • Serve as facility subject matter expert on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and facilitate strong processes in accounting, procurement, production tracking and compliance. 

 

The Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Purchasing, Warehousing, Shipping, Distribution or Supply Chain Management within the food manufacturing, food service, restaurants, or hospitality industry
  • 2-4 years’ experience with distributors in food & beverage industry, a plus 
  • High proficiency in ERP Systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills required). Microsoft Dynamics platform experience a plus
  • Talent in negotiations and networking 
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication 
  • Ability to prioritize and plan effectively
  • Manage FIFO products to ensure freshness of our products 
  • Alert to needs of the organization, team members, and guests
  • Must be able to work independently and/or part of a team 
  • High energy with a positive, servant leadership attitude 
  • Unwavering commitment to our Mission and Values 
  • Project management experience preferred 
  • Ability to travel to Verona manufacturing facility in Verona, VA 25%
  •  Ability to travel to other CAVA locations, up to 10%

 Physical Requirements: 

  • Physical dexterity, ability to lift to 45 lbs. and push/pull rolling bowls with up to 550 lbs. of product
  • The ability to work in varied environmental conditions (dry, cold) 
  • The ability to stand and work on feet for 8 to 10 hours at a time
  • Must be able to identify, assess and observe detail
  • Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively
  • Ability to squat, kneel, bend and twist
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
  • Ability to maintain stationary position to be able to operate a computer and other office equipment 
  • Must be able to identify, analyze and assess details 
  • For certain positions, must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to 50 pounds 
  • Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively 
  • Constantly positions self and move about to support ordinary restaurant or food production support or office operations, as applicable 
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
