Piccadilly Construction, our in-house Contraction Management Team, is seeking a temporary Site Manager to help manage and monitor a commercial fit out based in Central London. The role will include dealing with the day to day on-site management running all aspects of the job. Through to October 2025 and possibly beyond.
The role will include dealing with the day to day on-site management and coordination of site management, labour and sub-contractors, ensuring that projects are delivered to the required quality, budget and timescales.
Accountabilities:
- Responsible for day to day management of construction projects including taking corrective action where necessary, and progressing them through to completion.
- To liaise with contractors, architects, quantity surveyors and others to deliver the construction phase of a range of projects.
- To represent the organisation at external meetings
- To provide regular information and reports on progress and achievement of key milestones and project objectives.
- To ensure accurate records are kept and documents filed.
- To lead and motivate site teams, ensuring maximum productivity and efficiency of delivery.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, organisational policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, equality and diversity and quality
- Carry out other duties from time to time as required by the employer.
- Knowledge, skills, abilities and experience:
Knowledge
- Expertise in the construction process across a range of building and use types
- 2 years experience of effectively managing construction schemes and people,
- Excellent understanding of construction technology including design and construction defects and how to avoid them.
Skills
- A ‘can –do’ attitude with a willingness to challenge conventional thinking. A pro-active, positive thinking, commercially minded approach with the ability to work at pace.
