We are looking for a passionate and skilled UK Reservations Manager to join our dynamic department and lead the Central UK Reservations team in delivering exceptional guest experiences.

As the UK Reservations Manager, you will oversee the daily reservations operations for 9 hotels, ensuring all processes align with the standards of Red Carnation Hotels while managing a team of 13 people.  This position reports directly to our Head of Central Reservations/ UK Office Manager.

Location: Office based at The Rubens at the Palace Hotel in Victoria, London, just a 5 minute walk from the London Victoria train station.

Employment type: Full-time

Working pattern: Monday to Friday *weekends may be required once per month / Hours will be based on different shifts from 7:30am to 6:30pm.

Salary: Competitive salary depending on experience + incentives.

Key Responsibilities of a Resident Manager: 

Key Responsibilities of the UK Reservations Manager:

  • Manage, motivate and lead the reservations team day to day and ensure the department has full coverage during operations.
  • Be the main point of contact on shift for any inquiries or questions.
  • Oversee management of the inbox and ensuring all emails are responded to within the company standards, with support from the Assistant Managers.
  • Have a pro-active approach in terms of eliminating issues and problems and implement measures to avoid arsing issues.
  • Collaborate with the revenue management team to optimize bookings, ensuring maximum occupancy and room rates are achieved for all hotels.
  • Provide ongoing training and development for the reservations team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Monitor performance metrics and provide regular reports on team performance, reservation trends, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor the performance of hybrid working, ensuring the team are completing task set. 
  • Assist in the recruiting for the reservations team.

What are we looking for?

  • At least 5 years’ experience working in reservations and 3 years’ experience as a Manager, ideally in 5-star hotels.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate, inspire and develop our team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
  • A detailed understanding of reservations systems and processes with previous experience in Synxis and Opera 365.
  • Experience managing operations across multiple properties or locations is highly desirable.
