Delivery Driver

We're looking for someone who enjoys being on the move, takes pride in doing a job well and isn't afraid to roll their sleeves up. As a member of the Delivery team, you'll be travelling between our places, making sure deliveries arrive safely, on time and in great condition.

You'll be responsible for loading and unloading goods, checking deliveries, handling items with care and helping keep everything running smoothly. You'll spend plenty of time on the road, but you'll also be an important part of the wider team, helping out where needed and making sure our pubs have what they need.

Our mission –

At Chickpea, we're reimagining rural hospitality.

That means bringing well-loved pubs back to life, serving honest food and decent booze, and creating places where locals, regulars and visitors all feel at home.

We're founder-owned and seven years in. Today, we run ten pubs across the Southwest, but the idea hasn't changed much since day one. Great pubs are built by great people. We're lucky to work with a brilliant bunch already, and we're always looking for more.

The good stuff –

·       You eat from the menu if you work six hours.

·       Enjoy 50% off food at any of our pubs (Monday-Thursday).

·       We host the Annual Chickpea Awards Bash, to celebrate our teams.

·       £100 voucher on your Birthday to spend at any of our places.

·       Each month there are rewards and giveaways.

·       We mark length of service.

·       Team trips and away days.

·       24/7 support available for your mental, physical and financial health.

·       Training programmes built around you.

What you'll be doing

  • Delivering goods safely and on time to our pubs.
  • Loading and unloading deliveries.
  • Checking orders and ensuring everything is delivered correctly.
  • Handling goods carefully to prevent damage.
  • Planning and following delivery routes efficiently.
  • Providing a friendly and professional service at each pub.
  • Helping the wider team when needed.

What we're looking for

  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Reliable, punctual and well organised.
  • A positive, can-do attitude.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Someone who takes pride in doing a job well
