Pizza Chef | The Great Decoy

We’re looking for a Pizza Chef to join the kitchen team at The Great Decoy.

The Great Decoy is part of Chickpea Pubs, a growing collection of pubs with rooms and pizza shops across the South West. We’re all about great food, great pubs and, most importantly, great people.

We’re looking for someone who loves working with food, takes pride in what they send out of the kitchen and enjoys being part of a busy, friendly team.

What you'll be doing

As our Pizza Chef, you’ll be responsible for producing consistently great pizzas while working closely with the rest of the kitchen team.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Preparing, stretching, topping and cooking pizzas to a consistently high standard
• Preparing ingredients and keeping your section organised and ready for service
• Working efficiently during busy services
• Maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
• Managing stock levels and helping to minimise food waste
• Following all food safety, hygiene and cleaning procedures
• Working closely with the wider kitchen and front-of-house teams
• Helping us maintain a fun, friendly and positive kitchen environment

What we're looking for

Previous experience making pizzas is ideal, particularly in a busy pub, restaurant or pizzeria environment.

More importantly, we’re looking for someone who:

• Takes pride in their food
• Works well under pressure
• Is reliable and organised
• Enjoys working as part of a team
• Understands the importance of food safety and kitchen hygiene
• Is keen to learn and develop their skills
