 Houston & Hawkes is looking for an exceptional Barista who genuinely knows and loves coffee. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with outstanding technical skills, excellent product knowledge and the confidence to deliver consistently high standards in a beautifully designed, premium environment.

Coffee will be at the heart of your role. From perfectly dialled espresso and beautifully textured milk to latte art, flavour, presentation and service, you’ll take pride in every cup you serve. We’re looking for someone who understands the craft behind great coffee and brings warmth, personality and attention to detail to every service.

 THE ROLE

•  Prepare consistently exceptional espresso-based drinks and speciality coffees
• Dial in espresso and adjust grinders to maintain excellent extraction throughout service
• Deliver beautifully textured milk, confident pouring and high-quality latte art
• Use your knowledge of beans, origins, roast profiles and flavour to deliver an outstanding coffee experience
• Maintain exceptional quality, consistency and presentation in every cup
• Provide warm, polished and attentive service throughout the day
• Keep the coffee bar immaculate, beautifully presented and fully prepared for service
• Take care of coffee machines, grinders and equipment through correct cleaning and daily checks
• Support stock levels, replenishment and waste control
• Work closely with the wider Houston & Hawkes front-of-house and catering team
• Maintain excellent food safety, allergen, hygiene and health and safety standards

 WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• Strong experience as a Barista within a high-quality coffee or hospitality environment
• Outstanding practical coffee skills and excellent product knowledge
• Strong understanding of espresso extraction, grinder calibration and milk texturing
• Confident latte art and excellent presentation standards
• A genuine interest in coffee beans, origins, roast profiles and flavour
• A passion for delivering exceptional service as well as exceptional coffee
• A warm, engaging personality with a polished and professional approach
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in maintaining the highest standards
• The ability to remain calm, organised and consistent during busy service
• A positive team attitude and genuine enthusiasm for hospitality
