About us

The Cornwall Hotel Collection is a locally owned group of four distinctive hotels, each with its own character, history and sense of place. It is united by heartfelt Cornish hospitality and the people who bring it to life, from The Alverton in Truro and The Atlantic on Newquay’s dramatic north coast, to The Greenbank and The Falmouth, two of the town’s icons for generations.

We’re proud of our heritage, passionate about great food and drink, and committed to creating memorable experiences. Just as importantly, we want our hotels to be great places to work, where people can feel part of the team, develop their skills and build a career in hospitality.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Bar Manager to join the team at The Greenbank on a full-time basis. Working alongside the Bar Manager, you’ll help oversee the day-to-day running of the bar, support the team and ensure our guests receive friendly, attentive service.

  • Handle guest queries and resolve any issues professionally.
  • Support the development of drinks menus and bar promotions.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, food hygiene and health & safety procedures.
  • Assist with rotas and service planning where required.
Requirements
  • Previous supervisory or team leader experience is essential.
  • Confident preparing and serving a range of drinks.
  • Friendly, approachable and comfortable leading a team.
  • Good organisational and communication skills.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and great customer service.
  • Reliable, proactive and able to work well under pressure.
  • Good understanding of licensing and responsible alcohol service.
  • Flexible to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays where required.
Benefits

  • Full training
  • Opportunities to grow and progress within our collection
  • Staff discount, including room rates, food and drink, spa treatments and free use of our leisure clubs (gym & swimming pool) across our four hotels
