Description

We’re hiring our Holiday Gift Card Customer Service Phone Lead! (Seasonal) 

REQUIRED AVAILABILITY: Monday - Friday 9am-5:30pm (40 hrs/wk full-time hours for seasonal role)

The season is upon us, and we are embracing it by hiring a temporary Gift Card Phone Lead!  Help us deliver exceptional customer service during the busy holiday season. This person will play an essential role in handling all gift card inquiries via both phone and email. This seasonal position will begin October 16th and ends for the season on January 12th.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Great communication skills – phones & email
  • Friendly, caring manner with guests and team members
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Monday-Friday availability between 9 – 5:30pm with one Sunday (to be determined)


PLEASE NOTE: All candidates must have the ability to commute to the Lettuce Corporate office on the far north side of Chicago.

The Holiday Gift Card Phone Lead will process and track gift card orders, provide customer service to Lettuce Entertain You gift card (GC) customers and provide support to the core gift card team during the Holiday GC Promotion. This is a seasonal position.


Essential Functions

  • Receive, respond to and direct incoming gift card customer service communications (calls, voicemails and emails) including but not limited to receiving and processing gift card orders and answering general questions regarding Lettuce Entertain You restaurants
  • Enter and, when needed, edit phone gift card orders in the online portal
  • Track delivery of gift card order packages via UPS
  • Assist the core gift card team with administrative tasks and projects
  • Maintain proficiency and safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools, equipment, software and platforms including but not limited to Microsoft Office (MS Excel and MS Word)
  • Ability to effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
  • Multitask calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels
  • Able to move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to sit or stand for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces
  • Maintain availability to perform duties outside standard business hours on occasion as needed, including evenings and weekends

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist with daily gift card fulfillment as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality of company records and sensitive information
  • Maintain proficiency in the use and operation of all necessary tools and equipment, including computer, printer, telephone systems and10-key calculator
  • Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures
  • Follow all rules, policies, procedures and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Employee Handbook
  • Get along well with others and be a team player
  • Other duties will be assigned as needed
