We could be the perfect fit for you! Chilled Pubs are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. It all started back in 2007 when Loren agreed to Richards crazy dream, and they together purchased the Bulls Head in Repton. Fast forward 17 years and they have a thriving pub business. With 7 gorgeous sites, over 600 employees, an industry leading food & drink menu and just to be a bit different, 7 mascot alpacas.  

Driven by their vision to become the top leading pub brands in The Midlands, they’re passionate about finding superstars to live and breathe their values and ensure all guests are truly wowed by their Chilled Pub experience. With no signs of slowing down, Richard and Loren are always on the lookout for their next project and would like to reach a portfolio of 20 pubs in the future.

What We're Looking For: 

• Knowledge and understanding of management accounts, ledgers, and double-entry bookkeeping. 
• Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping. 
• Previous experience using accounting software such as Twinfields, Sage, or Xero. 
• Strong Excel skills. 
• AAT qualified, bookkeeping or equivalent qualifications are desirable but not essential. 
• Somebody able to work full-time in the office Mon-Fri 08:30-16:30.  This is not a hybrid position. 

 What the role entails:

• Daily bank reconciliations 
• Process bank payments and ensure timely payment to suppliers. 
• Set up new bank beneficiaries. 
• National Statistics reporting. 
• Reconciliation of supplier accounts. 
• Assisting with period end accounts. 
• Assist with general overhead analysis. 
• Assist with maintenance of control accounts. 
• Assisting with the preparation and submission of VAT returns. 
• Credit card reconciliations. 
• Assist with Audit queries. 
• Support the accounts team with ad hoc tasks as required.
