Job Description: Auditor (Gambling) 

Salary Details: £30,000 per year

Location: London Head office based with the occasional travel to venues

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-focused Auditor to join our compliance and operations team across our network of adult gaming centres. In this role, you will focus on financial auditing, cash collections, and cash handling procedures to help ensure the integrity and security of our operations. You will support regular cash checks, verify compliance with cash management policies, and assist in protecting both the business and our customers.

This position is ideal for candidates with experience in cash handling, retail banking, or customer service, who are looking to build a career in audit and compliance within a regulated gambling environment. Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Financial & Cash Auditing  
  • Carry out venue cash audits, including counting floats, reconciling cash takings, and verifying deposits  
  • Check machine drop collections, ensuring accuracy and security of funds  
  • Review cash movements, exchanges, and customer pay-outs  
  • Report any variances, discrepancies, or shortages promptly  
  • Verify adherence to cash handling and banking procedures
Operational Compliance  
  • Observe cash security practices, such as safe keys, access controls, and storage 
  • Check stock controls for tokens, tickets, and redemption items  
  • Support adherence to anti-money laundering (AML) checks and customer due diligence  
  • Monitor promotional activities from a financial accuracy perspective
Reporting & Documentation 
  • Complete clear, accurate, and timely audit reports  
  • Maintain secure and confidential records of all cash checks and investigations 
  • Highlight issues to senior auditors or venue managers with confidence  
  • Follow up to confirm corrective actions are implemented
Team & Venue Support 
  • Provide guidance to venue staff on best practices for cash handling  
  • Answer straightforward compliance and finance-related questions  
  • Promote a culture of honesty and integrity through professional and approachable behaviour  
  • Build positive working relationships while maintaining independence as an auditor
Skills & Experience  
  • Experience in cash handling, cash office, retail banking, or financial operations  
  • Good numeracy skills and attention to detail  
  • Clear written and verbal communication  
  • Basic IT skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, email, simple reports)  
  • Willingness to learn gambling regulations and compliance procedures
