Job Title: Bar Manager

Location: San Francisco

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $95,000 annually, with the opportunity for a performance-based bonus tied to achieving key performance indicators (KPIs).

Chotto Matte is an acclaimed Japanese Peruvian restaurant located in the vibrant heart of San Francisco. Our establishment is not just a place to dine; it's a cultural experience where guests savor tantalizing tastes and groove to energizing beats from our resident DJs.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Bar Manager to join our dynamic team. As the bar manager at Chotto Matte, you will lead our bar team in delivering exceptional service and innovative cocktails. You will oversee all aspects of bar operations, including bar staff schedules, inventory management, staff training, and maintaining high quality and presentation standards.

A proven experience in high-volume restaurants/bars is a must!

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate the bar team to deliver exceptional service and exceed guest expectations
  • Develop and maintain innovative cocktail menus that reflect our Nikkei concept
  • Oversee all aspects of bar operations, including inventory management, ordering, and stock control
  • Train and mentor bar staff to ensure consistent quality and service standards
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and guidelines
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop promotions and special events to drive sales and enhance the guest experience

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Bar Manager in a high-volume restaurant or bar
  • Extensive knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and wine
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
