Location: San Francisco, CA

Salary: $85,000 per year (exempt)

Role Overview:

As Chotto Matte's Restaurant Manager, you orchestrate exceptional dining experiences. You oversee the seamless operation of the restaurant, ensure impeccable service, and uphold the highest standards of quality and safety. Your leadership inspires the team to deliver nothing short of excellence, setting the stage for our continued success.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example, fostering a culture of exceptional service and professionalism.

  • Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including staff management, inventory control, and financial performance.

  • Ensure the highest cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards are always maintained.

  • Be a visible leader on the floor and a primary point of contact for guests.  

  • Collaborate closely with the Events Team to ensure the seamless planning and execution of private events, maintaining the highest standards and exceeding guest expectations.

  • Show empathy and invest in the development of team members, supporting them in reaching their full potential.

  • Optimize guest satisfaction by anticipating needs, resolving issues, and exceeding expectations.

  • Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth and enhance profitability.

  • Train and mentor staff to uphold our standards of excellence and foster a positive work environment.

  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless coordination between front and back-of-house operations.

  • Oversee all aspects of daily operations, including scheduling, cash handling, and adherence to closing procedures. 

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a high-volume restaurant environment.

  • Exceptional leadership skills with a proven ability to motivate and inspire teams.

  • Strong business acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, focusing on building rapport with guests and staff.

  • Proficiency in restaurant management software. 

  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.


Physical Demands:

  • Ability to move with agility, stand for extended periods, and bend as necessary.

  • Occasional lifting and/or moving of items up to 15 lbs.
