Key Responsibilities:
Maintain exceptional service levels by training and coaching staff in Chotto Matte’s unique service philosophy, setting SMART goals, and providing regular performance feedback.
Be a visible leader on the floor—engage with guests, create personalized experiences, and serve as a primary point of contact to ensure every visit is memorable.
Be consistently present during peak service hours, especially Thursday through Sunday, to support floor operations, staff, and guest satisfaction.
Schedule and lead one-on-one and team meetings to provide guidance, align expectations, and support team performance.
Collaborate with HR and leadership on recruitment, succession planning, and fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace culture.
Oversee all aspects of daily operations, including scheduling, cash handling, compliance, and adherence to closing procedures.
Partner with the Events Team to ensure the seamless planning and execution of private events, maintaining brand standards and exceeding guest expectations.
Analyze sales and profitability, develop revenue-generating strategies, and contribute to long-term business planning and brand development.
Develop and implement clear SOPs; lead comprehensive training for FOH managers to ensure operational consistency.
Ensure full compliance with California labor laws, health and safety standards, and maintain all required staffing and timekeeping documentation.
Foster transparent communication with team members to gauge engagement, address concerns, and promote a positive work environment.
Uphold the highest standards of professionalism through respectful leadership, polished communication, and a commitment to excellence.
Show empathy and invest in team growth by supporting each member’s development and potential.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years in food and beverage management within a high-volume, upscale, or lifestyle-driven restaurant environment.
Proven managerial skills with a hands-on approach, demonstrating honesty, a strong work ethic, and high moral integrity.
Comprehensive knowledge of hospitality and operations in the premium dining sector, with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to build and maintain relationships with team members and guests.
Flexibility and resilience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, ensuring smooth operations and team success.
Strong weekend presence required.
Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
Proficient in Google Workspace, Excel, and industry-specific tools, including POS (Toast) and reservation systems. Knowledge of basic accounting principles is a plus.
Strong knowledge of California labor laws, health and safety regulations, and operational compliance.
