Position Summary

The successful candidate will have 2-3 years' experience as a Box Office Manager or representative including management level work experience, strong knowledge of customer service, computer operations, and accounting/cash management procedures. The Box Office Manager will have an understanding of ticketing systems, excellent oral and written communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Google sheets, and have the ability to work evening and weekend hours and a detail-oriented approach with a strong ability to work under pressure to meet strict and fluid deadlines.


Minimum Qualifications

● Acting as the primary point of contact for all ticketing operations at the venue 

● Building and maintaining strong working relationships with local promoters, staff, guests, and marketing affiliates 

● Managing the hiring, training, scheduling, and supervision of all Box Office staff 

● Ensuring compliance with company ticketing policies and procedures 

● Collaborating with internal departments and external event personnel to address all ticketing needs 

● Overseeing and managing the nightly Box Office operations during events, including ticket sales, will call, check-in, seating, and settlement 

● Creating a positive and collaborative working environment and fostering high morale among staff 

● Providing exceptional customer service and proactively resolving any issues that arise ● Ensuring that all guests receive a high-quality, world-class guest experience


Event Management

● Coordinating all on-sale events 

● Assisting programming, tour personnel, and internal staff with reporting, ticket holds, and other ticketing details. 

 ● Coordinate with all operations departments regarding artist needs related to their fans including merchandise sales, guest lists and arranged VIP experiences, Meet and Greets, etc. 

● Working with marketing, production, and talent departments to set up events, place holds, process orders, and release tickets in a timely fashion 

● Monitoring ticket inventory to maximize sales 

● Collaborating with national team to monitor and dynamically price tickets to maximize revenue 

● Partnering with Venue General Manager to create and optimize incremental revenue 

● Ensure concert venue is fully prepared and organized for daily execution of the operation 

● Ensuring ADA compliant ticketing practices 

● Engage in night of show advance and help bridge gaps between production and operations 

● Communicate artists’ night of show needs to operations; hospitality and other special requests


Accounting/Financial Duties: 

● Maintaining accurate accounting records and archives 

● Ensuring adherence to cash handling policies and procedures 

● Performing daily safe reconciliation, preparing deposits, and running all daily financial reporting 

● Manage execution of deposit, advance and settlement reports on event nights 

● Maintain monthly concert totals financial reporting for all ticketed events 

● Oversee nightly artist settlements and final payments 


Qualifications 

● Minimum 3 years of Box Office and/or hospitality/live entertainment experience. 

● High integrity work ethic and a strong passion for music, hospitality, food and wine. 

● Ability to successfully multitask and manage several projects at once in a high-pressure, fast paced environment. 

● Professional and effective communication skills. 

● Must be detail oriented with strong time management and organizational skills. 

● Must have proficient computer and technological skills: Mailchimp, Google Suite, Asana, Adobe Suite, Sprout Social and familiarity with ticketing platforms 

● Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and travel as needed.
