Description

City Winery strives to deliver the highest-end combined culinary and cultural experience to our customers who are passionate in sharing wine, music, and culinary arts. We are a unique facility, combining a fully functioning winery with intimate concerts, food & wine classes, private events in a variety of configurations, and fine dining. We have created a compelling mix for our sophisticated clientele of foodies, and active cultural patrons—bringing the wine country experience to the middle of a large city.

Position Summary:

City Winery is the premier destination for music fans, foodies and wine lovers. With live entertainment nightly and a variety of dining and private event spaces, City Winery evokes urban wine country. This role works closely with internal departments in communicating and marketing the City Winery brand to the music, culture, and culinary worlds. They will represent the City Winery brand and products and develop widespread awareness for our D.C. location.


Minimum Qualifications:

●      Minimum of 5 years of marketing experience.

●      High integrity work ethic and a strong passion for music, hospitality, food and wine.

●      Ability to successfully multitask and manage several projects at once in a high-pressure, fast paced environment.

●      Professional and effective communication skills.

●      Must be detail oriented with strong time management and organizational skills.

●      Must have proficient computer and technological skills: Mailchimp, Google Suite, Asana, Adobe Suite, Sprout Social

●      Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and travel as needed.

●      Must be able to sit for extended periods of time; stand and walk regularly.

●      Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or related field preferred.

 

Overview of Responsibilities 

Tasks include but are not limited to:

●      Maintain current, effective, and cost-efficient marketing collateral across all departments in coordination with the graphics department: Posters, Postcards, Flyers, Displays, Signage, Slideshows and any other needed materials.

●      Create, print and constantly refresh all in-venue collateral to ensure all events and promotions are up to date.

●      Promote CW show announcements and promotions in weekly emails to CW database.

●      Collaborate with artist’s teams for show advertising and promotion.

●      Coordinate with programming and box office, events, restaurant and wine departments on upcoming announcements.

●      Work with graphic design on digital marketing creative, assemble Mailchimp emails, obtain approvals, and schedule weekly promotional emails.

●      Maintain the customer email database. Explore new avenues to capture customer data and grow our existing database, and work across departments to develop audience retention loyalty activities.

●      Follow daily ticketing reports and work with Programming to strategize opportunities to maximize ticket sales.

●      Manage social media content calendar and posting schedule for all departments; and compile a monthly data report.

●      Maintain up-to-date media databases with targeted media outlet lists in music, food, wine, events, etc.; keep a current copy on a shareable drive for company access.

●      Manage press list, and send show listings out weekly.

●      Compile all positive/negative reviews (e.g. Google, Yelp, Trip Advisor, etc.) and alert internally for prompt responses.

●      Collaborate with all departments on content, and keep all City Winery information current and active on the website.

●      Collect photos and logos to upload to the website from Programming or Talent directly. 

●      Monitor & update external websites driving traffic to our site & links, including all artists websites, wine event websites, partner websites, travel sites, review sites, etc.

●      Oversee donation/philanthropic requests including gift-giving and auction requests.

●      Work with the Private Events/Food & Beverage teams to promote retail wine, wine club, winemaking, wine dinners, tours, restaurant promotions and experiential events.

●      Manage and maintain all D.C. menus and updates.

●      Collaborate and meet regularly with Operational Management to coordinate projects and ensure consistent messaging.

●      Ensure clear internal communication across all departments; collaborate and meet regularly with the NY teams: Box Office, Programmers, Event Directors, Operations and GMs (individually or as a group when necessary) to coordinate all projects, ensure consistent messaging, and make sure the team is prepared.

●      Additional projects, tasks, duties as per business needs.
