Launching in Spring 2025, Café Linea is a vibrant new hospitality concept located in one of London’s most iconic and picturesque destinations. More than just a café, Linea is a refined neighbourhood restaurant, bar, and bakery with a deep-rooted focus on quality, creativity, and heartfelt hospitality. It’s a place where guests can enjoy an elegant breakfast, relax over afternoon wine, or gather for an evening with friends. With a philosophy of “less is more,” we focus on seasonal ingredients, considered details, and meaningful interactions—making every moment matter.
We’re now looking for a passionate and ambitious Head Barista to help lead our team and shape the guest experience from day one. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a start-up culture and wants to grow with the business while setting new standards for coffee excellence.
As Head Barista at Café Linea, you’ll play a key role in leading our coffee programme and ensuring an exceptional barista experience. You’ll be a hands-on leader behind the coffee bar, guiding the team through busy services, training on technique and service, and contributing to the café’s unique energy and precision.
Team Support & Leadership
• Lead by example on the bar, inspiring your team with passion, precision, and positivity.
• Train, mentor, and support baristas to ensure consistently high standards across coffee preparation and guest service.
• Collaborate with management on rota planning, daily briefings, and shift organisation.
Service Excellence
• Ensure smooth, fast-paced service with excellent coffee execution and warm hospitality.
• Drive guest interaction, sharing knowledge about blends, brewing methods, and specials.
• Manage feedback gracefully, resolving issues with a calm and guest-focused approach.
Operational Oversight
• Ensure the coffee bar and wider café areas are clean, organised, and visually on-brand at all times.
• Monitor and maintain coffee stock levels, coordinate with suppliers, and oversee ordering and deliveries.
• Maintain strong knowledge of our full beverage offering, including teas, juices, and occasional specials.
Continuous Improvement
• Champion innovation in drink development and daily specials, collaborating with the wider beverage and kitchen team.
• Help refine SOPs, cleaning checklists, and barista workflows for efficiency and consistency.
• Participate in training sessions, tastings, and feedback loops with both staff and management.
