Host – Cafe Linea
Location: Chelsea, London

Cafe Linea is an exciting new restaurant and bakery concept. Our flagship venue in Chelsea combines architecturally stunning Grade II* interiors with a one-of-a-kind year-round terrace overlooking a picturesque green. Inside, we seat 72 guests; outside, 60. We’ll welcome guests for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and everything in between — from morning pastries and cappuccinos to evening spritzes and small plates.
As Host, you’ll be the first and lasting impression of Cafe Linea. Your job is to welcome every guest warmly, manage reservations and seating, and ensure the start of each dining experience feels seamless, personal, and exceptional.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Relations
Warmly greet all guests within moments of arrival.
Manage seating and reservations to maximise guest experience and table turnover.
Handle bookings via phone, online platforms, and walk-ins accurately.
Communicate with servers and kitchen to ensure smooth service flow.
Keep the host stand and entrance spotless and welcoming.
Present menus, highlight specials, and answer questions confidently.
Thank guests on departure and invite them to return.
Service Support & Leadership
Lead by example on the floor, supporting service during busy periods.
Assist with shift scheduling and event enquiries.
Keep detailed records of guest preferences for personalised service.
Operational Excellence
Monitor and improve the guest journey at every touchpoint.
Assist with private events to ensure they meet Café Linea standards.
Uphold health, safety, food hygiene, and licensing requirements.
Confidently operate reservation systems (SevenRooms experience preferred).
