Description

Cafe Linea occupies a stunning Grade II* listed space in Chelsea, with 72 indoor covers and 60 on a year-round terrace overlooking a beautiful green. Open from breakfast through dinner, it will be a go-to destination for morning coffee and pastry, afternoon wine on the terrace, or spritzes and small plates in the evening.


The Role

As Floor Manager at Café Linea, you will play a key role in delivering a seamless guest experience and supporting the daily operations of our all-day restaurant. You’ll lead by example on the floor, drive service excellence, and be a mentor and motivator to the team. This position sits at the heart of our guest-facing experience and helps set the tone for our standards and culture.


Key Responsibilities
 

Guest Relations
  • Anticipate guest needs and proactively ensure exceptional experiences.

  • Resolve guest feedback calmly and professionally, turning challenges into positive outcomes.

  • Build connections with regular guests, ensuring a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

  • Handle guest enquiries and reservations with precision and a personal touch.

Team Leadership & Support
  • Lead the team in service, offering hands-on support during busy shifts.

  • Provide on-the-job coaching to uphold service consistency and confidence.

  • Inspire and motivate, fostering a positive, collaborative team culture.

  • Assist with rota planning and ensure shifts are adequately staffed.

Operational Excellence
  • Uphold and enforce the steps of service to ensure a smooth guest journey.

  • Monitor service flow and implement improvements where needed.

  • Facilitate communication between kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver a unified service.

  • Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and aesthetic standards on the restaurant floor.

Continuous Improvement
  • Conduct regular floor checks for service readiness, presentation, and ambiance.

  • Report and act on guest and team feedback to improve processes.

  • Support execution of private events and special activations.

  • Ensure strict adherence to all health & safety, food hygiene, and licensing regulations.
